Have a health insurance problem or question? New help now available!

Last Updated: February 07, 2011

As part of federal health care reform, New York State now offers more “hands on” help with problems or questions about health insurance.  Through a federal grant, New York has expanded the consumer assistance services available to New Yorkers who need help getting, keeping or using their health coverage, including help for residents who want to appeal or dispute a decision by their insurance carrier.

New York has contracted with Community Health Advocates to make this additional help available online, over the phone and, in many communities, in-person. To learn more and get help, visit the Community Health Advocates website: http://www.communityhealthadvocates.org/ or call them toll-free at 1-888-614-5400.
